Welcome to St Vincent Support Centre

St Vincent's is a city wide voluntary organisation based in the heart of East Leeds.

Its aim is to improve the quality of life for those deprived of income, employment, education, social networks, neighbourhood and community support.

We do this by offering a holistic range of services. Each service has been developed in direc
t response to demand from our clients and customers since we began in 1996.
All our services are confidential and free.

Our Purpose

St Vincent’s is a community project of the international charity, the St Vincent de Paul Society, and exists to promote self-sufficiency by building bridges of support and creating opportunities that enhance the quality of life for those deprived of income, employment, education, social networks and community support. 

Our Mission

Our goal is to provide, in a spirit of justice and charity, an environment and services that enable individuals to obtain their due through:-

  • holistic practical help and support with the fundamentals of life to anyone in need
  • addressing the root causes and resolving debt, personal and relationship problems
  • creating opportunities for everyone to lead a fulfilling life
  • working with other statutory and voluntary sector agencies to reduce  poverty and inequalities in health and well being
  • helping create a more equitable social order, challenging attitudes where needed.

Based on the Vincentian ethos that the poor are our masters we have adopted the following values:-
